Is the USPS website down right now? ›

No, we are not detecting any problems with USPS Tracking right now.

If you forgot your password, you can reset your password. If your account is temporarily disabled, you can wait until the end of that time period and attempt logging in to your account again. If your account has been disabled, contact the USPS Help Desk to reset your password and enable your account.

There are several reasons why your USPS tracking scan may not update. Tracking info might not be available for a newly-shipped package or if USPS hasn't scanned it yet. If your package hasn't updated in a few days, there could be a scan issue or a temporary misplacement.

I am receiving Informed Delivery® emails, but I can't log into my dashboard. You could encounter this issue if you signed up for Informed Delivery through an Official Internet Change of Address (COA), or if a USPS employee helped sign you up using a mobile enrollment app.

Users will receive notifications about the app being discontinued. Customers will still be able to access Informed Delivery notifications through their mobile devices using the regular USPS Mobile app, as well as through their email and usps.com.

The dedicated Informed Delivery mobile apps have been discontinued, but the service works within the official USPS Mobile app on iOS or Android.

"Too many incorrect login attempts" is usually the culprit for accounts being disabled. Wait 24 hours until your account is enabled again, then log in. If you can't use the automated system to reactivate your account, you can call USPS.

There are three primary reasons that you may not be able to log in to your mail.com account: incorrect login credentials, a problem with your web browser or mobile app, or technical or security issues. Keep reading for some troubleshooting suggestions for each scenario.

If you end up trying to “brute force” your way into the USPS backend with incorrect username or password details too many times you'll inevitably be locked out and you'll have a USPS account disabled situation on your hands.

Using the tracking numbers, you can check the delivery status online at USPS Tracking®. If seven (7) or more days have passed since the date of mailing and the recipient has confirmed the item has not arrived, you may either submit a search request for your lost mailpiece and/or email us.

If you are not receiving notifications by email and would like to, check your Email Opt-In settings on your dashboard at informeddelivery.usps.com.

Some problems may go away on their own (e.g., bad weather, a parked vehicle), while you will have to take action to resolve others (e.g., an overly full mailbox). Once you have solved the issue, talk to your local post office. They should be able to resume deliveries promptly, and your mail will all arrive.

Make sure there are no inconveniences for the carrier that limit access. Postal workers are not obliged to deliver mail if free and safe access to the mailbox is not provided. A vehicle may be parked in front of it, or a fallen tree limb, a huge pile of snow, or some other object could be blocking the way.
