On this page, it says that A Bell, Eighteen Amber Beads will reveal lore if the mark of communication is obtained from Five Pebbles, but obtaining the mark from FP raises your karma maximum to 10, and I have seen videos from this wiki of Ancients not increasing the maximum karma of people who have max karma from FP. Does increased karma also require the mark? And if it does, how do you get the mark without your karma being increased to X? And if it doesn't, what happens? Do you just see a massive bird thing that says nothing and then you go back to the previous shelter with a higher max karma? Do you see it at all? Will it attack you? Can you understand it? - If you reach an echo after obtaining the mark, they will speak to you and reveal lore. Your max karma will not increase because you are already at max. If you reach an echo before obtaining the mark, they will not speak to you, and the screen will just fade to white.
