Caramel is now ready for adoption! This 15 year old, 6 lb sweetheart came to us with a massive tumor on his back. He survived surgery, and is ready to go. He has a lot of energy for a little old man, but also thoroughly enjoys sleeping in your lap or cuddled up to another dog.Potty trained? Questionable. He appears to have been trained previously to use a potty pad in a bathroom (and seems pretty particular about tile floors). He also marks in his current foster home, so belly bands are recommended. He gets along great with other dogs but has NO FEAR, so very calm/accepting dogs would be best. We believe he would be happiest in a home that had other dogs.He had most of his teeth removed, so he will need to eat soft foods. He does not like to be out of your sight and will bark (he sounds like a seal) when left alone in a crate or other room. He is independent and fearless...yet also a little clingy. He is currently on an iron supplement due to anemia, which has been steadily improving. Adopter MUST be willing to keep up with routine care and blood work to ensure he is still making progress. His adoption fee is $100.

Best Boy Burt came to us from a kill shelter in Indiana where he ended up by no fault of his own. This guy is good with people & is good with other dogs. He would benefit from some basic obedience and confidence building. His approx. birth date is 03/17/19 and he currently weighs 15#. He will be a great companion for someone with a low key home. No children for him please. This guy has been reported as house trained if on a schedule & he loves his crate! He has been vet. checked, neutered, micro chipped, is up to date on routine shots & wormings including rabies, and has been treated with flea & heart worm preventative per our protocol. He is also heart worm negative. His adoption donation is $250 and needs to be cash, certified check, money order or a debit/credit card. There is a 3% processing fee when using a debit/credit card. We do not ship or transport. Please email for an application if you would like to provide this nice kid with his forever home.##1992926##
