VILLAGE TOWN CENTER WHERE THE NORTON COMMONS ART FESTIVAL IS TAKING PLACE AND WE’RE GIVING YOU A LITTLE SNEAK PEEK OF THE SICMU THAT YOU CAN EXPECT TO SEE OUT HERE ON SUNDAY. THIS IS BOUONRB REVIVAL KENTUCKY’S NUMBER ONE BLUE ROCK AND BLUEGRASS BAND. THEY’RE PLAYING A LITTLE BILLIE JEAN FOR US. ALRIGHT JUST A LITTLE TASTE. AIRLINE YOU GUYS HAVE A LOT GOING ON FOR THE ART FESTIVAL THIS WEEKEND. WHATAN C WE EXPECT WE DO IT IS OUR SEVENTH ANNUAL NORTON COMMONS ART FESTIVAL. IT’S BIGGER THAN IT’S EVER BEEN. THE VENUE HAS BEEN EXPANDED AND WE’VE GOT GREAT FOOD TRUCKS LOTS OF GREAT LIVE MUSIC JUST LIKE BOURBON REVIVAL. WE'V’ GOT FIVE OTHER GREAT BANDS PLAYING AND IT’S REALLY GONNA BE A PHENOMENAL WEENDKE FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY. DO YOU EXPECT THIS WEEKEND TO BE BIGGER THAN PAST ART FESTIVALS? ABSOLUTELY. WE DO WE CONTINUE TO GROW ERYVE SINGLE YREA AND THE PROMOTION JUST CONTINUES TO GET BIGGER. IT SEEMS LIKE WE’VE GOT A LOT OF INTERE FSTROM THE PUBLIC AND WE CANNOT WAIT TO SEE IN ADDITION TO THE ART. YOU’RE GONNA HAVE FOOD AND WE’RE RIGHT HERE AT THE NORTH VILLAGE TOWN CENTER, WHICH IS REALLY POPPING OFF ITSELF IT IS IT IS IT IS BRAND NEW. YOU CAN BASICALLY COME HERE AND ESE A TOWN BEING BUILT AS WE SPEAK. THERE ARE THINGS GOING UP ALL AROU UNDS, INCLUDING A COUPLE OF NEW BUSINESSES LIKE THE REGIONS ONLY BOURBON MEMBERSHIP CLUB. YOU’VE GOT TO CHECK THAT OUT. IT’S AMAZING. THERE ARE A COUPLE OF OTHER NEW BUSINESSES UP HERE THAT IT’S REALLY ALL COMING TOGETHER. ALRIGHT, WELL THAT’S HAPPENING ON SATURDAY AND SUNDAY. Music, food and art are on the lineup for the 7th annual Norton Commons Art Festival.It's happening Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Norton Commons North Village Town Center.Families can explore the region's dynamic arts and crafts, music and food scenes with no charge for admission. Inspired local and non-local painters, jewelry makers, sculptors, potters, photographers, woodworkers, soap milliners, and textile workers will be on hand all weekend displaying their works.According to organizers, the event is one of the fastest-growing art festivals in the country."We held a festival last year when many others were on hiatus," said Marilyn Osborne Patterson, Marketing Director and Legal Counsel for Norton Commons. "The artists appreciated it, and I think that's why we are seeing a record number of vendors this year. This festival is a serious regional draw."There will also be a series of live performances by local musicians.Sat., May 20- Whiskey Bent Valley Boys (Bluegrass - 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.), Skylar & Sophia Cain (Country), We The Least (Singer/Songwriters) - 3 p.m. - 5 p.m.)Sun. May 21- Bourbon Revival (Bluegrass - 11am-1pm), Hayley Payne (Country/Pop - 1 p.m. - 3 p.m.), griffytown (Jazz - 3-5 p.m.)Local food vendors include Sugar Tree Sweet Shop, Good Belly Sandwich Shop, Froggy's Popcorn, Alchemy, Copper Kitchen, Longshot Lobsta and Cotton Candy & Sugar Nuts.
